Il Whisky Dewar’s 12 Anni rappresenta perfettamente lo stile e la tradizione di quest’antica distilleria scozzese. Si tratta di una versione di ottimo livello del classico Blended Scotch Whisky, realizzato con un sapiente assemblaggio di varie partite di distillato. Un’arte che si basa sull’esperienza e sulla capacità di creare sempre la giusta armonia espressiva, unendo Whisky con caratteristiche diverse tra di loro. Il segreto dei grandi blend risiede proprio nel loro equilibrio e nella loro complessità aromatica, capace di trasformare in un’armoniosa partitura i singoli elementi. È una bottiglia particolarmente adatta a chi ama il sorso morbido, ricco e intenso, caratterizzato da piacevoli note maltate. Il Dewar’s invecchiato 12 Anni è un Whisky prodotto da una distilleria che può vantare una lunga storia. Fondata nel 1846 come emporio di liquori, ha cominciato ben presto a realizzare ottimi Blended Scotch e poi a produrre in proprio distillati da miscelare per creare le sue etichette. Ancora oggi la sua fama è dovuta alla capacità di creare assemblaggi di straordinario valore, prodotti direttamente con malti di ottima qualità e acqua leggera e purissima. Il processo nasce dall’assaggio e dalla scelta delle migliori botti invecchiate per 12 anni, selezionate con il fine di creare un risultato morbido e armonioso. Al termine dell’assemblaggio, lo Scotch Blended matura per altri 6 mesi in botti di rovere già utilizzate, in modo che possa trovare il giusto equilibrio espressivo. Solo dopo quest’ultima fase d’affinamento è pronto per essere imbottigliato. Il Dewar’s Whisky 12 Anni è un’etichetta nata dall’esperienza e dall’intuito del Master Blender Tom Aitken, con l’intento di creare un Blended Scotch di medio invecchiamento, capace di diventare una bottiglia di riferimento della gamma, vero e proprio biglietto da visita della distilleria. Alla vista si presenta di colore ambra con riflessi luminosi. Ampio e complesso, esprime profumi di frutta secca tostata, mandorla, morbide spezie orientali, vaniglia, incenso, morbidezze di miele di castagno e datteri secchi, cenni tostati e leggermente affumicati. Il sorso è caldo, setoso e avvolgente, con uno spettro aromatico intenso ricco, che si distende armonioso verso un finale molto persistente.

Oro non eccessivamente carico. Aromi di vaniglia e frutta, anche esotica. Di buon corpo, rotondo, in cui domina una nota di affumicato. Finale di media intensità.
